Yesterday I had my first mince pie. We sang carols in the foyer of the Lyceum in Sheffield. There were lots of decorated trees in Leeds College of Music.
But the icing on the cake: today I saw my first Coke truck advert – so it’s officially Christmas! Yeah!
Meanwhile, I was up in Edinburgh last week, with a two-hour-each-way commute through to East Kilbride where I lit Liz Lochhead’s Beauty and the Beast at the Arts Centre for Phurious Productions. It was an interestingly swift design and implementation, given that I was called in (thanks Simon) as an eleventh hour replacement, but I think it finished up pretty good. Best of luck to Karen and co. at Phurious in all their future productions.
There’s a lot of work still to be done on various bits of coursework, so the final week of term isn’t just going to be killing time. Watch this space.
