It snowed last night and when the campus woke up it was still there, thick and crisp:

With rain yesterday and the cold today, it wasn’t very nice weather for our striking tutors, the little picket line for our little campus looking very, well, little. Certainly I support their position on pay, but at our end of the barrel there are quite a few third-years worried about whether they can graduate. There may not be any point in working on Attempts On Her Life if it can’t be assessed because of continuing union action…
As far as top-up fees and loans/grants thing goes, there’s no way that Universities can continue with the same economic model they’ve had for the last few decades when the Government insists on sending fifty percent of ‘young adults’ into higher education. Hmm.
Elsewhere: the Improverts finally get their own site, complete with another bad picture of me. I’ll gradually migrate all my Imps links on this site over to the new address, when I can get ’round to it. Today we filmed another scenario for Attempts On Her Life and all the lighting, sound and video really need to get finalised over the next week.
And now The Sting is on BBC1. Good stuff.
