Days, Weeks, Things

Monday, 22 December, 2003 — filed under: audio / film / news / tv

So I’m back at my parents’ house for Christmas, and my net-access is reduced to the sort of click-’connect’-then-download-mail-then-click-’disconnect’ behaviour that I used to find so utterly ridiculous.

My eyes are flicking between these words, the battery-level indicator in my menu bar and Forces Of Nature on BBC1. The problem with not weblogging as and when things happen is that the backlog (no pun intended) becomes not so much big, as unmemorable. In the past week while I’ve been here I haven’t really done anything. I’ve watched a lot of TV, I’ve been into town, I’ve set the fire, I’ve been for a couple of walks. I saw The Return Of The King on Wednesday

There are some books I need to read, notes to make, projects to prepare and I’m sure that’ll all happen over the next week and a bit before I head up to Edinburgh for Hogmanay.

Elsewhere: part four of The Fez of Etymology is out, with the Christmas special surely hot on its heels.

It’s amazing how short a length of time seven minutes is when you or somebody has to pay for it. Now the unspeakably/typably wonderful Sandra Bullock hauls me away, with some quite-oddly-good-for-a-romcom photography to boot.
