A merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
The dentist that I’ve been going to for much of my life retired sometime last year, and his replacement is much keener on techniques that are certainly doing a much more thorough job whilst also being a lot more painful. I was never one of those kids (possibly just stereotypes) that was nervous of the dentist because I’ve never had anything done to my teeth, and I suppose I’m going to have to take this new level of preventitive treatment with gritted teeth.

I’m watching Jasper Carrot on The Frank Skinner Show and it strikes me just how well the lighting and set work to make the people on it seem so vibrant and alive: there’s a glowing blue back wall that makes those in front of it jump out without seeming at all orangey. Good stuff.

So I’m back at my parents’ house for Christmas, and my net-access is reduced to the sort of click-’connect’-then-download-mail-then-click-’disconnect’ behaviour that I used to find so utterly ridiculous.

There are two new galleries in the Bretton section, one with pictures of people and things and clouds and stuff and another with some slightly larger images of some texture-y things that looked nice all close up.
I was largely ignoring Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, thinking that I maybe had enough things to try and watch.

Life here sure is different to Edinburgh. If I’d been out for a night on the tiles up there then we wouldn’t be out of the pub for another hour – yet here I got back and I’ve spent an hour fine-tuning my essay.
