I was very fortunate to be able to relight Simon's lighting for Frozen whilst the production was on tour in Scotland; it was very rewarding to work with such a delicate and subtle design that needed to be installed in many venues and very different configurations, as well as on such a well-regarded play.
With the set coloured almost entirely white, boxed in on three sides and roofed by flown panels, Simon's lighting was a mixture of front- and cross-light. The palest of tints bled across the white walls and it was a constant juggling act to balance colour and intensity across the space.
The tour's final week saw us installed in the Citizens' Circle Studio, a in-the-round space that required a complete rethink of set and lighting.
