Aeneas Faversham Forever slideshow: - click to advance

The Penny Dreadfuls latest outing breaks from the sketch show concept, instead offering a single narrative that twists and turns around Victorian London; Aeneas Faversham Forever is packed full of sinister plots, daring do and funny words, and there's a healthy dose of puppets, exploding horses and whistle-blowing policemen, too.

As a play, Forever lends itself much more ably to designed lighting than the unconnected scenes of our previous shows. Even taking the usual limitations of Fringe theatre into account we're really pulling out all the stops on this one, helped by some excellent previews at the Greenwich Theatre. And there are still a few layers of theatrical fun that haven't been added yet - the hardest part is cramming it all into one hour.
